Gently massage 2-4 pumps of cleanser over damp face and neck. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.

However, if you are experiencing active breakouts, persistent acne, or increased congestion, switching to the SkinSpecific Acne Treatment Cleanser (or incorporating it into your routine) can provide the targeted therapeutic power needed to help clear the skin. Once your acne is under control, many users transition back to their personalized PROVEN Pro formula for long-term maintenance.
Because it contains 2% Salicylic Acid, we recommend starting once daily (preferably in the evening). If your skin tolerates it well, you may increase to twice daily (morning and night). If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.
Yes. The inclusion of Tasmannia Lanceolata (Tasmanian Pepperberry), Willow Bark and Green Tea Extracts helps to calm inflammation and reduce the "sting" often felt with acne treatments. However, we always recommend a patch test first.
Yes. Azelaic Acid and Mandelic Acid are included to help brighten the skin and fade the appearance of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (dark spots left behind by old pimples).
While topical Salicylic Acid in low percentages is often considered acceptable, we always recommend consulting with your physician before using active "Acne Treatment" products during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
With Vitamin C: We recommend using Vitamin C in the morning and this cleanser in the evening to avoid potential irritation.
With Retinol: Be cautious. Using both in the same routine may be too aggressive for some skin types. Try alternating nights or using a gentle, non-medicated cleanser on the nights you apply Retinol.
Avoid the immediate eye area. Salicylic acid can be drying to the delicate skin around the eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
